850 jobs created for Mazandaran people in handicrafts sector
TEHRAN--Deputy head of Mazandaran Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department announced the attraction of 1.8 trillion rials ($1.2 million) of credit and creation of employment for 850 people in this field.
In an administrative meeting held in the conference hall of Mazandaran Cultural Heritage Department on Monday with the presence of Sardar Seyyed Qasem Qasemi, Advisor to the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Atefeh Shabani said that Mazandaran is currently among the top three provinces in the country in the field of employment registration, Miras Aria reported.
She appreciated the tireless efforts of her colleagues during the holidays and difficult infrastructure conditions, and stated that the department has achieved 70 percent physical progress in its programs.
Shabani said: "One of our serious demands from the ministry is to solve the problems of the licensing system, which is often out of reach.”
Shabani noted: "Due to the completely virtual process of issuing and renewing licenses, artists face a dead end if there is a disruption in the system, and there is no possibility of in-person follow-up for them.”
Stating that the creation of permanent handicraft markets plays a key role in the economy of the province's artists, she appreciated the efforts of all employees of the Handicrafts Department and heads of Cultural Heritage Departments of Mazandaran’s cities who have played a role in realizing the achievements.
